Once we’re in contact, we’ll arrange an initial onsite consultation, completely obligation-free. This meeting is a fantastic opportunity for us to envision your outdoor room and familiarise ourselves with your space. We’ll also delve into your style and design preferences, and address any council requirements or time frames.
Step 2: Design and quotation
After our consultation, we transfer your ideas to bring the design to life. Our experienced team then crafts a detailed plan, considering every aspect of your vision. Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a written quotation outlining the proposed work, ensuring transparency and clarity from the outset.
Step 3: Permitting process

A Home Industry Association (HIA) building contract serves as the cornerstone document outlining the terms and conditions of the construction project. Alongside this, comprehensive architectural drawings and engineering plans are finalized to ensure precision and adherence to design specifications. These meticulous plans, along with detailed project specifications, form the blueprint for the construction process.
Securing a building permit is a critical step in the regulatory process, as it signifies official approval from the Registered Building Surveyor. This consent confirms that the proposed plans have been meticulously reviewed and deemed compliant with prevailing building regulations and codes. The building permit delineates the key stages of construction that necessitate inspection to verify adherence to the approved plans. Crucially, this includes a final inspection, ensuring that the completed structure aligns with the initial design and regulatory requirements.
Step 4: Materials and schedule
With permits finalised, we proceed with ordering materials. We meticulously select materials to ensure they align with your design and preferences. Once we receive confirmation from Stratco, we schedule an installation date, typically within 2 to 4 weeks.
Step 5: Verandah installation
The culmination of our journey is the installation of your verandah. Our skilled team arrives on site, ensuring clear access and power for a smooth construction process. Depending on the complexity, construction usually takes between 1 to 5 days, weather permitting. While you don’t need to be present during installation, it’s always exciting to witness the transformation first hand.
